Reina 8 - Great performance. A couple of good saves, one in particular in the first half. A fantastic long field pass up to Kuyt in the second half which should of resulted in a goal and good distribution all around. Pepe looks to be back to his best.

Finnan 8 - His best perfomance of the season. Lots of over lapping play, plenty of good crosses and very good link up with Pennant.

Riise 7 - Solid

Agger / Carra 8 - Very good performances by the pair with one assist by Agger and a goal from Carra.

Garcia 7 - Typical Garcia game. Flashes of sloppy passing, brilliance and a goal. Needs to play as much as possible imo. We look a far better attacking side when he plays.

Alonso 6 - Probably our worst player on the pitch, especially in the second half where he played much better. Needs to get in some shooting practice..

Gerrard 7 - Drove the team on in the second half. Poor penalty, lucky with the rebound. Is it just me or does anyone else not fel comfortable when Stevie takes a peno?

Pennant 8 - His best game in a red shirt particularly in the first half. More of that please Jermaine.

Kuyt 6 / Bellamy 7 - Worked very hard throughout but without much final product. Kuyt didn't have his shooting boots on and his anticipation in the box wasn't as great as it should be.

Subs:

Fowler 5 - Not agreat appearance. Does not look sharp at all.

Crouch 5 - Not enough time to do anything of note

Gonzalez 7 - Looked good when he came on and scored a great goal. He's apparently a free kick specialist...hope he scores plenty this season.

Rafa 8 - Played our strongest first 11 and let Gerrard off his leash in the second half. Well done Rafa

Rennie 4 - Worst Ref in the premiership. We should have had two first half penalties. The second hand ball in thebox was right in front of him. He's f*cking crap.

knight had his back to the ball and it was hit at him from about a yard away.

the 2nd granted you see them being given a lotbut not always
avtually didnt think he did a lot wrong yest (the ref)
though i do think he's pretty bad,BUT i'd prefer him than poll or ****wit riley any day

First one I cannot fathom, Riise was woeful, again sadly.
Second one escapes me. Alonso wasnt bad, he left his shooting boots in Basque country though.

Gerrard 7 - Verry anonymous in the first half. Better in the second. Some good creative moments and runs.

Alonso 7 - Usually workmanlike performance. Wasted quite a few shooting ops.

Garcia 7 - Wasteful and sloppy a couple of times, but still dangerous and full of creativity. Wonderful goal.

Kuyt 6 - Should have scored at least 2. Hope he improves.

Bellamy 7 - Full of running. Creates chances for others.

People probably dont rate him, but i doubt they 'hate' him. There's no LFC fan who wouldnt want Pennant to be superb for us.

I was a bit unsure about Riise's 7 myself. Maybe a 6 would be more of a fair appraisal. (By the way, I'm not a Risse fan at all. He needs replacing but that's a nother thread entirely)

I definitely stand by Alonso's rating. No way did he deserve more than a 6. He was pretty crap by his standards and was definitely one of our worst performers on the day.

Reina 7.5 - Was there when we needed him. Great save in the first half. Looks rock soild in goal. I like him.

Riise 5,5 - Got to the backline enough but seemed erratic.

Agger 7,5 - Two assists and a floorless perfomance more or less. Should hoof less than he did in the first half. Maybe Rafa said something cause he stopped in the 2nd. One note. Carra drops deep when we're on the line and Agger always tries to pull the offside. They really need to talk about this. 85th min. is a perfect example where Fulham almost scored.

Carra 7.5 - MOM - Solid and he scored! Great to see *See Agger

Finnan 7 - Got forward more but needs end product. Wish he had more confidence to try more dribbling when he's in 1on1 situations. Everytime he does something good happens.

Pennant 6.5 - Well in there Pennant. Three great passes to 100% chances. You even had a shot on goal today. Still clearly lacks confidence but hope is not dead yet!

Alonso 6 - In a match with 22-3 in shots and 13-1 in corners you would expect a little more willingness to dominate and go forward. A las, Alonso has turned from and exciting creative midfielder to a boring DM with little confidence. Three Hapless attempts at goals today.

Gerrard 6,5 - Another day at the office. Got what he wanted...

Enigma 6 He's a box of chocolate. Great header!

Kuyt 6 - got us a penalty (got us 3 but you know) and worked hard as always. Needs end product. Should have scored on Pennants cross in the first half, even though the ref wrongly called it offside.

Bellamy 6 - Runs a lot!

Speedy 7 - Looks like we finally have a permanent solution for the freekick. Alonso should not be allowed near the freekicks when he's on the pitch.

Fowler NA - Looks much faster than he did this time last year!

Rafa 7 - 13 corners and no plan. Do they even have a strategi on corners? I seriously doubt it. I only think we have scored one goal from all the corners we have had since Rafa arrived! (Against Everton). There is really room for improvement! Good call to rest Sami!

I don't think people were rejoicing as such. The way he was(n't) performing it was a relief that he was out of the team. Anybody who says he deserved to be playing whilst his form was like that is deluding themselves.
