Two 4-0 wins on the trot - when was the last time that happened?

In the 2nd half we were untouchable. If we could play like that from 20 mins on, we'll be racing up the table.

Obviously I meant two consecutive 4-0 wins in the league.

Not quite two 4-0's on the trot in the Premiership but the next best:

            03/02/2002 Leeds Utd 0-4 LFC

            09/02/2002 Ipswich T 0-6 LFC

I thought we were excellent going forward today and not too bad defending. Even Pennant had a good game.

Last 5 Prem matches scored 9 (i think) and 5 cleansheets. The next 6 Prem matches are very winnable and then it's Chelski at home-fancy us for that too in this mood.

Tis the season to be joly!
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Pennant looked much better second half today, did anyone else notice Finnan overlapped more today than he has in a long long time? More of that please. After the first goal we always looked threatening and Fulham just couldn't cope with us, they were all over the shop. More of that too please

Carra's goal, my God I never thought I'd see it

Garcia's goal was amazing too, didn't think it was even close until I saw the keeper had shat himself. Pleased Speedy scored too, the new players now have much more confidence and I think it shows.

Not yesterday Morph. I thought Pennant was our best player in the first half..all our good attacks came from good inter play between him and Finnan (he had an excellent game yesterday). Pennant's performance over all was his best in a Liverpool shirt which was very pleasing.

The whole team played well yesterday. In my opinion it was a better performance than the one against Villa, maybe our best of the season.

More of the same next week ...

Absolutely Howard. Great to see him play so well.

Pennant had a good game yesterday but he still backs out of challenges and that is so frustrating to see. He could have scored in the first minutes of the game if he hadn't backed out of a close contact situation.

Fulham was probably the worst team we have played so far and we could have won with seven or eight goals.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

See my match ratings RP - the point you make is valid and didn't go un-noticed. Thought Finnan was excellent yesterday.

Must say I only caught the last 20 mins of the first half, was stuck in work, so i'll have to take your word for it. His second half performance didn't look too special until later on. But i'll be looking a bit closer in the next few games.

Also not been too impressed with Riise this season, not sure if it's because he's had little in the way of competition, but I think he needs to do better.

Riise was poor again yesterday. He's forgotten how to tackle/defend and looks really off the pace.
