    Confidence and team spirit

Looks right back up again after today.

One of the most pleasing things for me, was seeing the reactions of Carra and Crouch after JC's goal. Great stuff, team spirit looks good and confidence seems high again. Very very pleasing to see.

Surely we must be winning at a very dire Charlton side next weekend.

Things looking promising for a nice run of results, hopefully

Good post DJ, things are looking good again especially with in terms of team spirit, i voiced my concerns over our lack of team spirit earlier in the season, looking like the team spirit of last season when we had that unbeaten run going, we'll need another one of them runs this season and this
            could be it now,
got a be taking all 3 points @ charlton next week!!

It was important to see, especially off the back of a disappointing draw at home to Pompey and also the defeat midweek. Granted the game in Turkey was meaningless in the context of the CL and obviously it was a far weaker side than we'd normally field, but losing (or not winning) can easily become a difficult habit to shake off, so to see signs of spirit and confidence today was very good. Obviously the 4-0 win wont do any harm in that respect either.

Maybe we are just better and take a more positive attacking stance as a team without Momo! WHen is he back ?

I'm wondering how much of an impact the recent takeover news and Rafa's talk of culling the team with the good transfer wage he's getting might of had the impact. I mean we've been pretty average to crap all season and suddenly blam, more goals in 3 games then we've done in 10.

I think there was a noticeable difference in the team before and after Gerro's penalty. To me I feel they honestly don't believe in themselves. Prior to the goal they were still outplaying Fulham, but after the goal they steamrolled them out of the park. I honestly wonder the outcome of the Chav, Manc, Arse and bitters games if we had scored first. I think they would have been very different.

Let's not get carried away, eh? A defeat by a mediocre Galatasaray team was sandwiched by 90 minutes of unimaginative play with no goals. Fortunately an excellent first half at Wigan matched by a great second half against a poor Fulham papered over the cracks. Until we start beating the likes of Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal regularly in the league we're always gonna be competing for third or fourth place at best...

On a more positive note, however, isn't that five clean sheets in a row in the Premiership?
