    Toon after Crouch?

Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder has confirmed his interest in Liverpool's Peter Crouch.

The England striker looks to be losing his battle with Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy for a starting role as Rafa Benitez edges away from his rotation policy.

Roeder looks set to invest heavily in the January transfer window and a new striker is believed to be on his list of targets.

Crouch has been linked with a possible switch to St James' Park and now Roeder has admitted he is an admirer of the 25-year-old.

"I am an admirer of the way Peter Crouch plays and the fact is that he also scores goals," said Roeder, who is also believed to be keeping tabs on Mark Viduka.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Anyone who'd sell him for £7m is either insane, or clueless about football.

I had no idea there was any speculation linking Crouchie to the Barcodes but I for one wouldn't like to see him leave.
Viduka is much more Roeder's bag - an overweight old injury prone waste of money. He should fit right in at Newcastle!

He can dream on, even if he got to play every match at Newcastle, I cant see Crouchy wanting to leave us for them.
Rafa may not play him every game, but IMO he still rates him very highly. The only one of our strikers not to be here next season IMO will be Robbie.

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Exactly. He cost us that much to start with and since then he has scored plenty of goals after a slow start and been first choice for his country at the World Cup.
          He must stay IMHO.

I agree with you Bazza mate.

I'd hate to see him go and the next striker to leave will probably be Robbie ()

Would be such a shame, just cant see Rafa not making a move for another striker in the summer if Shake mo. (whom I am working for at the moment) buys LFC.
I have a feling we could be making a move for Fernando torres for some reason, or David Villa.

Either or both and I'd be happy.

Maybe we should do a straight swap with MO. I mean, I'm sure Crouchy wants to win trophies right?
