    Sense of Invevitability

    I know there's still a lot of games left this season and its still mathematically and physically possible to win trophies and I know the players can't feel like this or it wouldn't be worth turning out every week, but..

    Is it just me or does anyone else feel a sense of invevitability as a fan about this season already?

    It's not even Christmas and we're already 16 points off the pace locked in a battle 3rd/4th place (AGAIN!), we've got Barcelona in the Champions League and Arsenal in the FA Cup, two very difficult ties which we'll do well to progress from. Also with the possible takeover looming and entire future of the club up in the air it seems to me this season could turn out to be a nothing season unless we surprise an awful lot of people?

    Forgive the negative post but I just really can't see this season being a success at the moment.

    Turn the tele off at half time kinda guy

        To be hoest mate, I feel the opposite. This take over seems to have everyone on the up. We've got a good run of wht seems like easy games in the League so if we keep winning then confidence will soar. The pressure is off for the title so we can just worry about us rather than what Utd and Chelsea are up to. 3rd will be ours no problem. The Cups? well Anfield can scare anyone when its in the mood and it'll be up for both Arsenal games and especially when Barca come over. We do our part and the team will do theres. Good times are a'comin my friend.

          I think the season is only really starting for us now.

          FA Cup
          Champions League
          League Cup
          A fight for 2nd-4th
          Possible takeover

          Actually quite optimistic looking at all that.

              Barca are not all they are cracked up to be, they had to win the last group game to qualify. I am confident we will progress n the CL

              Arsenal blow cold and hot.....mainly cold.We didnt turn up in the last game against them, the 2 cup games are there for the taking

              The League yes we are a long way back but they are plenty of games left, I dont see us winning it but 2nd is stil achievable

                  Another season fighting for 3rd-4th place isn't anything to be positive about in my book, I'm not negative I just prefer to set my standards/targets higher and think we should as well, you could sy that's a more positive attitude, not to be happy with fighting for 3rd-4th place.

                    the thing is, no matter how well we do from now until the end of the season. If we get taken over and have more funds too.

                    I just know that Rafa will **** up our start to next season with his messing around.I just wish he would relax his ego a little.

                        I feel more confident now about things than at any time in the season.Than you come along with this bollox post.We are still in every competition that we entered and won a trophy already.

                        I don't even see the point of this post.

                            The team is clicking nicely and we are gathering momentum - a couple of home wins against the top teams would go along way. A cup and a top 4 finish would keep me happy for this season.

                              Why all this sudden negativity when we are finally playing well and are on the verge of the investment this club needs
