    Sami = Legend

Sami's place in the team is no longer assured now that Agger is doing so well and each time I read match ratings the phrases 'father time', 'lack of pace', 'beginning to show his age' are commonplace now.

Well can I just say that before anybody even contemplates having a downer on Sami that I think he's been sensational since he's been here. He's probably played more matches than anybody since Ged introduced him to the team alongside Henchoz all those years back. The couple of million quid Ged spent on him has turned out to be an absolute steal and in my eyes was the best signing Ged ever made.

Anyway - I just wanted to make the point that's all. In my eyes - Sami can do no wrong and we should remember all that he's done for us.

    Oh Sami Sami

Was the best CB in the league for a while.

Indeed he has been one of the best in Premier and in Europe. Hopefully he keeps doing this for our country for a long time as there isn't anyone who is close to him.

Finnish teletext says he's negotiating contract with Malmö... Thank you for everything, if this is true!

I heard Sunderland were interested. Can't see it though.

He is an absolute legend, and in the early 00's he was the best CB in the league. He is still one of my faves....although i prefer Agger to get the start these days.

I still remember on KT when the fat one posted that he had been sold to the mancs for 20mill.

I almost cried....then i remembered it was the 1st of April

            Big Sami

he will be a liverpool legend forever.

He may go in January according to the Swedish media.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Sami's easily been our best signing in the last 15 years or so. He will always be a Liverpool legend and I hope he bows out gracefully.

Didi's definitely up there but for value for money it has to be Sami for me.

I'd be amazed. There's no upside to selling him in January. Palleta's not ready yet to take his place in the squad imo.

Hyppia should be used in the carling cup and all the easy premiership games and then hopefully given the free transfer he deserves at the end of the season.

We should keep him until the end of the season.
I agree with DS on this.

I also think that we should keep him until the end of the season. Maybe Rafa will use Neill instead of Hyypia if we sign him.

That make no sense to me at all. Unless we've got a world class replacement lined up (which is unlikely). I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in the summer though.
