Why do you think he hasn't settled at West Ham, shaggy? Do you think it's him not getting a decent enough chance or that he's realised they're ****e and wants to move on?

I'm not sure I'd be happy with his signing but I must admit that I haven't seen enough of him to make that judgement.

Well I don't think anyone was ever convinced either Mascherano or Tevez were exactly doing cartwheels about signing for West Ham. I've not seen much of him but he looked to be a very efficient and important cog in the Argentinian World Cup side. He hasn't been given much of an opportunity for the Hammers but I don't know how he's played on the few occasions he did feature.

It's not just him though - Tevez has struggled too. I'm not sure he's a world-beater, but he's a good player and he's shown nothing like what he's capable of for West Ham. Can't just be a coincidence that both of 'em have failed to live up to expectations.

I thought the rule was players can play for no more than 2 clubs in a calendar year - presumably since it would be impractical if it was done by season - different countries can have hugely different season start/finish dates.

Mascherano would be an ok signing for us as we have some of those Spanish/Latino lads similar to Javier. I hope we get Neill ahead of Barca as he would be great cover for Finnan
