It would appear good as many people will already be there at that point anyway.

            From the official:

Due to heavy fog at Anfield, a new pitch inspection has been called for 6.45pm ahead of tonight's Carling Cup quarter final against Arsenal. According to the officials at Anfield, unless the fog gets worse, the game WILL GO ahead.

The game will start I would assume but if conditions dictate that the match cannot be played in the right manner then they will call it off.

If body heat of 45,000 warms up the air then the fog should slowly rise during the match.

but isn;t fog caused by the meeting of a cold dry front with a warm wet one? Perhaps 40 odd thousand fans could make it worse....

Me neither. Imagine if a player gets a serious injury as well due to a late tackle caused by poor visibility...

Is the fog that bad at pitch level?

When are they going to replay this game? There is no room in the calendar all Carling cup matches are decided on the night.

Well if we play the whole game in the Arsenal half there should not be a problem
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Apparently they would play this game when the first semis are due to be played and then squeeze the semi in at another time.
