I dissagree,but your treading on very thin ice by your statement as to the incedences you refer to, had nothing to do with the weather.You are in some way implying that beacause some of us couldn't see the reason why the fog was so extreme as to call the game off ,are being rather bliase and forgetful of some of the worst tragedies in sporting history.Fck right off!

The final decision is not the refs. It's the stadium managers. The ref can say whatever he likes but he has no call on safety grounds for the crowd etc. Ref only plays a part in the final decision making process.

Suely the polce must have had a say? I think that whilst both clubs wanted the match to be played for obvious reasons the decision has been taken out of their hands by the authoroties.

Maybe,when reporting,sky should of said the police,rafa,wenger,parry, dein and the ref have all decided that the game is called off.Get my drift?

What i don't understand is why didn't they do a pitch inspection at say 7.35, nearer to kick off? Even if the game had to be delayed for half an hour or so, still better than calling the whole thing off.

This is a situation which both teams could very much do without.

That could have perhaps pissed off a lot of the fans who were in the stadium if they had waited that long.

It couldnt have been played in that weather. You couldnt see the other side of the ground. Wether Rafa or Wenger wanted to play maks no odds besides thats just down to shifting blame.If rafa had said play and Wenger said no, we'd all be on slaggin Wenger. They will have known that game couldnt be played just by looking at the pitch.
