By the way, the earlier answer about Coutts was correct. The self-styled "Queen's bankers" are now owned by Nat West (RBoS) so anyone with a few bob can have an account there. Most of the ones I deal with prefer something a bit more exclusive like Butterfield Bank, Kleinwort Benson or Cater Allen...

Footballers, like most of us, always spend more than they earn and many of them piss their money up the wall or gamble it away. We've done quite a few mortgages for footballers and the more sensible ones will buy a portfolio of investment properties which they will finance like everybody else...
