Many people on here seem to think that Alves is a right winger. Well, he's an attacking right back. Sevilla play with Alves and Navas on the right. On Sevilla's official site, he's listed as a defender. Do we want a defender on the wing? I guess Rafa would use him insteed of Finnan or as a wing/back in a 3-5-2 system, but not as a winger in a 4-4-2 system.

He's only been played as a right back for the last 18 months of his career. Maybe Sevilla just have a winger at fullback? I think he could play either, what his best position is I couldn't say.

I think he prefers RW. I read somewhere that him being forced to play RB is one of the reasons why he wants to leave

he'll get his chance at RW around easter time


the main problem with momo CM is Stevie doesn't want to play RW and picks up his ball and goes home.
Stevie wants to be in the thick of it. Yet we all know he's the buissness out there
Momo is great at what he does, but the lack of a final pass does it actually mean he's the wrong type of player for a top side? Hamman was class at what he did, and now we have players like Agger who can pass, we should be domminating games re possesion, which last few years we haven't, and therefore don't need a ball winner, more like 11 ball keepers?

Just watched the Charlton game again and I tell you we have a much softer centre when SG is playing there instead of Momo.

I really can't see Rafa leaving Stevie there when Momo is back.
