Sky's bias chav comments to Glenn Roeder...

During his interview. It was regarding Obafemi Martins shot that never went over the line. " You could clearly see that the ball never crossed the line but perhaps if you'd had a Russian linesman you would have got the goal!":whatever:

Luis shot clearly crossed the line that night. I was right behind it in the Kop and was never in doubt that he scored!

What nationality was our ref/linesman in the CL semi then? I assumed that Sky were reffering to that goal that Luis scored.

              Frank Spencer!!??

I disagree Scott! I was sitting in the kop that night and i've seen so many replays and it never crossed the line once. But that's what made it the more sweeter. C*nt boy Mourine casually forgot that Gudjohnson cheated Xabi out of a Semi-final place by diving, he also forgot to mention that his team of tube-dodgers didn't score once past us in 180+ minutes of football and also theres the age-old argument if he hadn't given the goal, fractured skull would have walked and as destiny would have had it, we would have gone on to win the game much more f*cking comfortbaly than we did.

Anyway our linesman was slovakian- not russian!

What incident are you referring to from the world cup. I can't honestly remember any incident that involved a Russian linesman.

Accident prone! 'Forum-accidents', though, rather than physical ones.

Didn't see the interview but there can't be any doubt the reference was to the infamous Russian linesman from the 1966 World Cup final.

                    Eull Neville Wark on-loan!

                        England 4 West Germany 2.

I was in Row 12 that night and was convinced that he'd scored. It was only when I got home and saw the replays that there was an element of doubt but even the it wasn't clear. From some angles it looked in and from others it didn't.

Thanks for putting me straight on the nationality of the linesman though.
