**** man, I think you have me on that one....

                  How about:

                  Marco Boogers

Signed by West Ham United for £1million in 1995, Boogers was almost immediately red carded for what was described as 'a sickening horror tackle' on Manchester United's Gary Neville. He promptly disappeared, discovered several weeks later in a mobile home in a Dutch caravan park reported to be suffering from a nervous breakdown. Not one of Harry Redknapp's better signings then, but the striker went on to have a decent career over in Holland so there was no doubt he had potential. Redknapp himself admitted his research on Boogers could have been more thorough, writing in The Guardian, he admitted: "I had never even seen Marco Boogers play live when I agreed to pay £1m for him when I was at West Ham. I thought I had discovered a world-beater when I got Marco's video through the post; he looked a terrific player and I thought I'd take a chance on him. So I went ahead but it never paid off. Marco did not speak a word of English and I don't think he started a game for us in three years at the club." Boogers is now the technical manager at Dutch second division side Dordrecht having finished his playing career at the club. And he would do well to listen to his old manager Redknapp's advice on scouting: "I learned a valuable lesson as a result of what happened with Marco: Never buy a player unless you have seen him play for yourself."

I have the ultimate winner. Cant remember the fellas name though.

Remember when souey was southampton manager, and that fella rang him to say he was Georgey Weah`s cousin and he was dead good at footy? Soft arse souey signed him, then bought him on as a sub without ever seeing him play. % minutes later he had to take him off because he had obviously never played football before

Can you just imagine the beating he got from souness afterwards?

I know he meant Nyarko, but I was beating that with the wonderful player that is/was Bakayoko! A true Everton Leg-end

Henry is the best player in the Premiership. Shame he's never really cut it in Europe or internationally.

Another one of 'Arry's was Florin Radiceau (sp). He went shopping with his missus in Harrods when he should have been playing !!!!

Fancy them putting a game one when the missus wants to go shopping - it's a disgrace.
