    Neill coming in Jan

The Guardian are reporting that we have agreed w/Blackburn to bring Neill in during the Jan transfer window.

Bit of a dirty tw@t I know, but I guess we need a bit more of that. I wonder how Carra will take it

Good cover all over the back four I suppose. Hopefully, this will be the last down market signing once we get the DIC money in place.

Wonder what the crowd reaction will be like. I think they'll take to him just like they have Bellamy.

    He'll be a great buy.

He's the type of player who you you think is going to take your leg off. Can't wait to see him have a rip at Ronaldo!

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

He is a dirty player but we do need to counter some of the tactics being used by some of the premiership teams ( I wont name them but we prbably all know who they are) We need to be very strong at the back.

Give us more options for a 352 as well.

Competition for Finnan (who has been superb BTW) will be good.

I imagine he's cup-tied in Europe, otherwise I'd love to see him have a go at Messi and Ronaldinho

I thought I heard a while back that there was a new rule which allowed players in the UEFA cup to play for a team in the CL. So you may get your wish

                Can anyone confirm?

I read on here that you are allowed one player that has already played in the UEFA Cup.

I'm all for the signing of Neill, he's a very good player imo, demonstrated by his performances at the World Cup.

He's strong, good in the tackle, can pass the ball, is a fierce competitor and is versatile, can fill in right across the defence.

It will be interesting to see if/how he plays against us on 26 December
