Thanjk you.

It will be interesting to see if he will play instead of Hyypia. I'm not that sure that Rafa only will sign him to cover on the right.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
I really think we can do better than Neil, I hope this report is not true. I don't think we are desperately short of options at the back and given the choice I reckon it would be better to hang on untill there is a bit more cash to spend.
One plus is that he's a hard dirty crim. And we do need more hard men in our squad, too many lightweight softies. The likes of Neill are ideal for away trips to ****ty midtable sides and Bolton, who hoof it and get physical to beat you.
Whether he's really good enough is another question. Probably not. But as a bridge until the summer when we can get somebody better in, we could certainly do a lot worse.

I'm all for the signing of Neill, he's a very good player imo, demonstrated by his performances at the World Cup.
He's strong, good in the tackle, can pass the ball, is a fierce competitor and is versatile, can fill in right across the defence.
Well said, he'll be a great signing for us.
On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!
I'm going to predict right now that he'll get sent off twice by the end of the season if he joins.
Easily. I don't know why everyone is excited by this signing. I still remember people telling me why Julian Dicks was a good signing for us at the time. Can we really not do better than this?

Because he is a good player, who is very versatile, and provides us with different options.

Can't see that happening at all tbh
Like Momo he will pick up loads of bookings, but I don't think he is that much more in danger of being given a straight red than other players at the club.

Gosh, how familiar does that sound? Another mediocre player who is an inadequate stop-gap.
How often will he get to play across the rest of defence? We have better players for the job in those positions, surely? We have to be looking for better than Lucas Neill if we are going to get to where we want to be.
And he is a dirty fecker to boot - more trouble than he is worth.
