    I miss Harry Kewel!

was watching the fa cup tie from last year against Chelsea, and i had forgot the quality he brings to the table, it wasn't his best game but his composure and his crosses are pure gold, calm calculated and clever. hope he gets going before the end of the season and will be given a proper run towards the end...

Kewell had a very good season last season. A lot of the Kewell bashers won't acknowledge it, as they're still expecting him to run down the wing like a gazelle. Its not his game anymore, but he's an exceptionally clever midfielder, who rarely gives the ball away and is hugely inventive.

    We've missed him this season.

Ive got to agree, he's strong as well, reminds me a bit of Kuyt, can hold up the ball well, passing is crisp and crosses as you mentioned are tight. Shame we've ben waiting for him for 2 years. Let's hope when he does come back he stays back and gets back to playing regularly.

            hope so as well...

i just had completely forgot about the lad and i was surprised to see him in the game tbh, i have overlooked him in recent years, blamed him when we play badly and not give him credit when we are good cause he's kind of overshadowed by other players, it was nice to watch a whole game with him and not worry about the score line just to analyze the players and their movements, i just had forgot how good he was...

yeah he was given no credit last season...and the boo boys often only looked at his goal tally. It was his general play that inmpressed me...he was solid as a rock on the left, and we scored many goals directly from his touches on the left.

but of course you dont get credit for those things in the stat books do you

Also watch some of the CL games leading up to our win in '05. Harry set up goals, created chances, and took some of the heat from the midfield as there were often a couple of players marking him.

Our finishing is woeful and Riise on the left against blackburn was ****e - we could really do with Harry back in the squad.

I can't wait to see him come back !

Riise and Kewell was probably the best left sided combination the last months of last season.

Kewell gives stability to our midfield. He works his socks off in game after game and that is what we have missed on the left this season.

                    ------------Alonso-----Sissoko
                    Alves--------------Gerrard---------Kewell

I don't think any team in the world can show up a better balanced midfield than this one and we are only one player from having the above midfield.

Five midfielders that will work and run the whole day if they need to, add that four of them could create that little bit extra that we need to win the difficult games spiced by Sissoko who more or less no one can get past.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Gonzalez is so bad right now - HK wil walk back into the side.

The problem is that it isn't many players like Alves out there.

The other excellent right midfielders isn't working as hard as Alves do. If Rafa for example would sign Simao or SWP then he wouldn't get the same balance in the team.

Signed in 2003 and you’re giving him credit for starting to show his quality last season!! That is a sign of a good player isn't it?!

If you think that our left side problem is going to be resolved by the return of Harry Kewell then you’re mistaken.

                              He solved it last season.
