Sell Crouch for around £8m and buy Huntelaar for around £10m. That would be excellent business.

So you're going to start quoting "mediocre opposition" are you? So who did Bellamy score his 5 goals against?Originally posted by ElRobbie View PostThe league is where it counts mate and he's got 2, Kuyt's got 6 and Bellamy 5. He scored one good goal in the CL and goals against mediocre opposition, we need someone who can make a difference against better teams.
How many league minutes has Crouch played compared with Bellamy or Kuyt.
FFS lads (and ladies) why do we have to sell someone just because we lost a ****ing game?

The problem is that the defenders in the PL know how to take care of Crouch. Just give him a little push when he jumps up and the danger is over.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostSo we sell our top goal scorer to "use those millions to buy someone who can actually score".
So are we selling Kuyt, Bellamy and Fowler first then?Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He's not good enough, its not because we lost the game it's because if we want to challenge for the title we need better strikers than Crouch, simple really.

As I have said. It's up to Rafa. He will sell any player in the team if he has a better replacement lined up.
I would keep him at least until the end of the season.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

So not only do you speak for Moores, Parry, Rafa and many of our own players past and present, but now you are speaking on behalf of all the defenders in the premiership.Originally posted by AFII View PostThe problem is that the defenders in the PL know how to take care of Crouch. I'll trust Rafa's judgement over yours.

I like Crouchy, very honest hard working player who's also very nice. But we don't neeed strikers who are nice, we need clinical strikers who will score. I think Rafa knows it and Crouchy's on borrowed time. I will be sad to see him go but i believe he is a stop gap in the squadThey've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

Any half decent manager would do the same, surely that's common sense.Originally posted by AFII View PostAs I have said. It's up to Rafa. He will sell any player in the team if he has a better replacement lined up.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

What do you mean, 'can't accept they've made a mistake', how have I made a mistake exactly?Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostWell at the risk of you calling me more names

What I'm saying is based on what I've seen of him, he doesn't have the quality we need to win titles, he's too slow, his shooting and heading is woeful 9 times out of 10.
Manager's make mistakes, be a man and make your own judgements and stop skirting around the issues
Rafa's made mistakes in the past with his buys and will make them again, he'll admit that a good manager does something about it though.
I think the fact he's not favoured him recently (before today) goes to show he's having doubts about him, lets hope he sells him and we could use that money towards a better striker.
You just seem like one of those rose tinted glasses types who are happy with mediocrity.Last edited by ElRobbie; 26-12-06, 06:38 PM.

If you'd said 3-1 up then I might have taken you seriously, but then you started name callingPlease to god, sell him! We should be 3-0 up in this game yet we're 1-0 down.

We never won a title with Fowler at his best or Owen at his best.Originally posted by ElRobbie View PostFair enough mate, if you want to avoid the facts and hide from the truth then you do that, the fact is, we will never win a title with Peter Crouch in our starting eleven, he's just not good enough, the gap in quality is immense.
It's no good walking around with blind optimism.
Selling Crouch is not the answer.CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP DALGLISH!
