Demento seems to be able to sign goalcorers on a regular basis. Solskaer, Cole, Saha, Yorke and Van Nistelrooy - all of whom are clinical finishers yet we can't. It's frustrating as feck and it costs us a title challenge every year.

could say the difference is scum put in players to help the forwards
they have always played or had wingers this provides service and also helps create space.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

exactly. i was just about to say the same thing. cole in my view was the sort of player who needed a hatful of chances to get his eventual goal. but a hatful of chances he had. most decent strikers would get goals playing for united in the last ten years or so.

i do think ferguson's knack of signing goalscorers is nonetheless better than our managers. i really can't recall us signing a great goalscorer. i'm racking my brains and i don't recall it. its probably not since rush returned. can anyone correct me on that?

incidentally i'm pretty certain sean dundee was uncle roy's not ged's.
