    Jermaine Defoe...

How we need a finisher like him in our team. We should pull out all the stops to get him in January.

The amount of chances we create (and miss) is unreal and with defoe around, he would bang them in.

God no. Not even close to our current strikers. The reason he is being linked to every team going is probably a PR campaign by spurs. He has moments where you think he could be a great player but that never lasts very long.

Darren Bent is gonna come under scrutiny in the xfer window.

He knows where the net is and has plenty of pace. We could do worse.
      Liverpool born and bred.

Never been convinced about any of those two.
I dont want Anelka either, even if I have seen he has started scoring now. Its just a sign that the transfer window is about to open. He is up for a move to a big club again.

We need a scorer who just scores, we have plenty of supporting cast strikers offering all the options needed with flair, hard work, laying off etc, we just don't have an out and out scorer who can get a 1:2/1:3 ratio.

Who that is, will he fit in, is he of the right character, will he be within budget etc etc, none of us know, so no point sharpening the knives dithcing our current mob and screaming for all and sundry to come in, none of the ones mentioned by any forum might not be the final piece of the jigsaw or even wanted by Rafa, so just calm down, relax, and let's see who it is Rafa actually wants, and keep it sane & sensible without losing our heads.

              Defoe, Bent or Anelka?

              None of the above thanks
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
              Mine angry and defrauded young?

would take defoe, if the deal was right. ie money and there was room in the squad for him.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                      Huntelaar.

                      Ajax want £10m for him.

Think a young Morientes and you have Huntelaar.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He's a lot faster than Moro was/is and he's nowhere near as good in the air. In fact, he's not much like Moro at all.

Huntelaar himself said that his playing style is very similar to a young Nando.

I have seen him play many times and I have also seen Nando play very much four or five years ago when he was faster than he is now and they are very similar to how they move on the pitch.
