Basically we have midfielders who at best can manage 10 between them if lucky.

Problem is, Alonso and Momo offer a lot more in other departments.

We do need wide players to do more

I think next year we will see more from Gonzales, including from the deadball positions. Pennant has never been a prolific goalscorer, even to the point he seems to allergic to being in the box, he just isnt direct enough. The hoards keep lourding up Alves as the answer, but I dont believe he would contribute the amount of goals required. Simao would be a better option, agressive direct and not afraid to go for goal

Thing is we SHOULDNT lose to a team thats just conceded 6 goals. We have a real problem raising our game when the occasion calls for it.

3rd or 2nd? You're way off Dan. Sorry.

Thats why the Prem is so unpredictable. Anyone is capable of a result.

Yesterday was one of those games. We've played to well of late to go so backward. Not worried in the slightest.

We're not good enough to win the league but thats nothing new this year is it.

It's a huge match. We can't afford to slip all that way behind Arsenal in the race for 3rd place. If we do then we'll be fighting it out with pompey, bolton , spurs etc... or 4th.

                    BUT

The teams mentioned have punched above their weight so although its those teams doesnt mean we are down and out.
