Of our current players I am a bit dissapointed Hyypia is not a bit higher on the list, surely demands a higher place than Hamann...

Especially considering Dudek is on there. He'll always be a hero for Istanbul but Bruce did all that and a lot lot more.

The author says himself that its a personal thing. The bloke obviously knows his stuff and to me it seems like he put players responsible for great moments very high in the list - hence Dudek.

Really, really enjoyed reading it. Cheers for the link

A girl who I work with's fella is really good friends with Gerry Byrne, he grew up with his old man so they've been quite close for a while. I've never heard of him before you know.

Just typed his name into the search box and didn't realise he was in the top 50 list of greatest LFC players ever. She has been going on at me for ages saying how she knows this ex LFC player and that he's an LFC legend and I've been ignoring her for ages.

Take it he must have been quite good then.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Never heard of him? Nearly every ex pro from that era brings up the broken collar bone incident in the FA cup final.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

very surprised that Joey Jones is rated so highly

I think that nostalgia clouds decision there.

Plus Ray Clemence should be in the top 10
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

                            In order of shock.
                            Rob Jones, made the list?
Rush, not in the top 5??
                            Carra, ahead of Rush???
Phil Neal, at 37??????...8 league titles, 4 European cups, (about)8 years without missing a game, our most succesful(greatest) player.

                            Can't argue with No. 1.

I guess if Rob Jones is on there, Markus Babel should be there too, because in his one full season, he was amazing.... Curse of the right back. Losing Arbeloa should be added to that list.

Carragher is probably a bit too high. HE spent too many years as a full back who just couldnt get forward. It as only when he moved to centreback alongside Sami, that he shone as a really top class player. Now Sami has gone, he doesnt look quite the same player. PErhaps Sami should be higher.

Didi... Leverkusen... Houllier, what were you thinking?
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
