One of his worst games for quite some time. Passing was horrendous and the yellow summed him up in a nutshell. Didn't think the ref had seen the first foul so decided to yank the guy down to make sure he got himself a yellow card. Probably needs a rest.

Meh, Lovren's got more MOTM nominations on here than him.

I think slowly I'm getting there. Of course it's never perfect

And Lucas believes Klopp will continue to improve both his own game and the displays of the team as a whole as they prepare to travel to Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday.
'I'm learning a lot and and he's a very demanding manager but a person who tells you what you need to do to improve,' Lucas told Liverpool's official website. 'That's what he wants and if you make mistakes he just doesn't kill your confidence and he gives you confidence to improve and tells you what you need to do.

'So that's what we've been talking about and he's trying to add some things on my game and I think slowly I'm getting there. Of course it's never perfect but I'm very happy with the way I'm playing and improving.

'For me it was about the belief and the confidence that I needed. I think he's been giving me that and giving me an important role to play in the team. I think everyone in the squad feels important and everyone feels that you have a part to play.'

Thought he was really good again last night. Klopp loves him.

While he picked up a somewhat needless yellow card, his game last night was quietly assured, crisp.

I think it would be good to play Allen vs Bordeaux to see if he can do the Lucas role, if so he should come in for the Swansea game too.

Great game playing the 'Lucas' role. Tackling and Breaking up play, keeping us moving, intelligent passing and committing fouls when he has to.

We will miss him next week. No one else knows the job.
This. In my opinion he is the best in this position in the PL

I'd leave Sturridge on the bench and have Ibe on instead.

Lucas can play v Bordeaux. Against Swansea then I'm not sure we will need a specialist defensive midfielder.....I reckon Milner and Emre can in midfield with couty, firmy behind benteke and Sturridge. Go for the ****in jugular

I do think it would be worth Milner trying to undergo a Schweinsteiger-esque positional conversion but that has to be a long term project.
Milner would be a good shout to replace Lucas there alright.
