He's good manager for an overachieving mid table team. Just entirely unsuited to trying to win anything. Not so much **** as a **** match for us.

Dampening expectations is probably a sensible thing at Palace, who may very well have to sell Zaha etc.

I tend to agree - he is a decent lower in the PL manager. His record at Fulham and Palace is very good. But like Moyes he seems to have a ceiling in what he can do (although maybe that is a recent thing - can't claim great knowledge of his time at Inter).

I think it may be down to being handle pressure? Both Hodgson & Moyes don't seem to handle it very well
