Aside from his pass completion rate:

Seven tackles were made against Chelsea. This may not sound a lot, but that is one player recording exactly one third of Liverpool's entire tackle count at Stamford Bridge.
    Not bad at all that.
    Forwards.......

He's looking good, but he's no Mikel and never will be IMO. : crackoff :

He might be that ****e by the time he's 40. I think he'd probably hang up his boots by then though.

I don't watch loads of Chelsea, so I've wondered in the past whether I/we do him a disservice. You know how it is when clueless non LFC fans judge our players based on MOTD and the odd live game.

Indeed a lot of non-LFC people still think Lucas is ****e. They don't watch him every week, and nor do they watch as closely or as keenly as we do, so I'm a bit wary of condemning Mikel. I also think players in that position are the easiest to misjudge as a lot of the work of a DM goes unnoticed.

Having said that, I do think he's ****e.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Personally I had never thought Lucas was that bad - but equally I never felt he was capable of the consistency of performance he is putting in now.

Lets hope Glen Johnson can do something similar and we shall all be happy!
Lucas has made many of us eat our words, and i'm delighted and hope he can keep it up (No pun intended ). If Johnson does the same, happy days its all good.

But yes, credit where credit is due to Lucas

                        Lucas is ****ing boss

In fairness to Mikel, he was apparently a ****-hot winger up until recently, then he joined Chelsea and was played as a DM

Any news on a new contract? I just fear that with the stick he has taken should a reasonable offer come in, he might be keen on going somewhere he would feel appreciated.

I think come the end of the season we might see more goals added to his game, he makes excellent runs from deep.

If you'd watched '60 minutes with Lucas Leiva' you wouldnt have that fear. He's happy.
