Is it just me or does Phil Jones look slightly retarded? A touch of the John Terry's about him for sure.

Nah.......that miss will finish him off. He'll be stacking shelves in a supermarket this time next year.Originally posted by Liverpool View PostI think the old Torres is back , played well today despite his misses, he got in the positions and had the class back to slice open defences, I think with Anelka, Mata, Raul around him he'll flourish again."I will make the boys feel your support"

As much as we want to continue seeing a **** torres today he was at least worth his place, and better than sturridge, which he hasnt been all season so far. Anyway today has been the worst sunday in ages then somehow, after scoring and pissing me off even more, he manages to skip past de gea and miss!! ha ha I must have hit rewind for 10-15 mins because A) I couldnt ****ing believe what I saw and B) It was so funny!!
That just has to stick in his head, I mean how many of you guys play footy? I do and if I miss something nowhere as bad as that I cant help but be down foir a while! ha ha I ****ing love it.

Thought Torres looked really good yesterday - the miss will be the thing that is focused on though.
He was by far Chelsea's best striker. The finish for his goal was superb and more like the Torres of old. Ramires should also have scored from a Torres assist. Even the way he went round De Gea before the miss was excellent and I doubt we'll see many more misses like that. All in all I think Torres will be pleased with his performance yesterday and he's actually had a good week tbh.
Really think that AVB is beginning to bring out the Torres that we know and loved, unfortunately.

He looked better yesterday but again this was symptomatic of his last season with us where he'd play a good game and we'd think the old Torres was back only to see him get back to his moping self the next game.
If he plays like he did yesterday for 3-4 games in a row, then yeah he's back.Last edited by Maxiedge; 19-09-11, 12:16 PM.

I thought he looked quick yesterday, good pace and movement before ****ing up in front of an open goalOriginally posted by Skrtelmania View PostHe still lost his pace though, that isn't coming back for love nor money!
AVB seems to be working out how to get the best out of him, forward thinking players who move the ball quickly and can slip a pass between full back and centre back
Mata, Anelka, Meireles and Ramires can all offer that and Lampard will have to get used to more time on the bench.

Agreed - he definitely needs to be consistent.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostHe looked better yesterday but again this was systematic of his last season with us where he'd play a good game and we'd think the old Torres was back only to see him get back to his moping self the next game.

torres will come good for them i have no doubt in my mind, however i said the same about babel with us so **** knows!!!
interesting though that i constantly find myself still defedning the player even though he plays for the chavs. i have a couple mates who are big big chelsea fans and they dont rate him (even slating his game yesterday) and i find myself being the one who tells them he will come good and that his performnce was good yesterday.
wish i could just slate him when asked my opinion on him
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
