Suarez reacted to being refused his move by giving even more the following season. For that reason I'll never begrudge him his move when it comes. Suarez possesses far more class and integrity in his little finger than Torres could ever dream of.

Yeah thats true, but he'll still leave, eventually. Who he goes to will largely decide how he's viewed IMO.Originally posted by Norbs View PostSuarez reacted to being refused his move by giving even more the following season. When has Torres showed a lack of class and integrity? Has he disrespected us in any shape or form? I can't really recall anything to be honest with you.Originally posted by Norbs View PostSuarez reacted to being refused his move by giving even more the following season. I don't understand all the bitterness, especially after all those years have passed. Are we winning?

He does seem a good lad, and seems a bit sad too. Loads of players have left us - okay, maybe not for Chelsea - but are still popular. Souness left, Rush ****ed off etc. Looking back at the state we were in at the time, with that prick Purslow making promises/telling lies, it's hardly surprising. I think maybe the fact he pretty much downed tools for his last season still rankles, which I can understand. Personally though have no ill will towards him at all. Good luck to him, whatever he does. I/we have moved on and got a much better looking girl now anyway.
Me too, That said maybe if he'd been a major success at Chelsea I'd be more bitter, but as he hasn't ...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I still cannot stand Torres and pity him as a footballer, he is that ****. We gave him some gold dust here at Liverpool and all this talk about him leaving because of the state of the club etc is utter nonsense....FSG had taken over and were investing. We had Suarez joining, King Kenny at the helm and things starting to look brighter.
Torres walked out when we needed him and whilst I may forgive him I cannot forget what he did. He is washed up and I love it when I see those clips, time after time of his utter ****eness at Chelsea or with Spain.

Romelu Lukaku has confirmed that he may have to leave Chelsea this summer amid speculation that the Stamford Bridge outfit are closing in on Diego Costa.
The 21-year-old striker has spent the last two seasons on loan at West Brom and Everton as he has been repeatedly overlooked by his parent club.
That is not something the Belgian, who scored 16 goals for the blue half of Merseyside last season, expects to change any time soon.
"You know Chelsea: every year they buy a new top striker," he told several newspapers.
"I remember me coming into the dressing room last year and seeing Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba and going: 'Whoah! What's happening here?'
"But no problem. Many clubs are interested in me.
"At this stage I have to look to myself. I have to play a good World Cup. That's very interesting for all the players looking for a transfer, and I must be one of them. Chelsea know my point of view."
