Bloody hell, he is human after all
James Milner feared he might not walk properly again, never mind resume his playing career, after surgery gone wrong.
Opening up on his injury hell this season, the former #LFC star insists he is not yet ready to retire.
️ “I had a knee operation and knee reconstruction, which was fine and I would have been back at the start of December. But in the operation a nerve got damaged. After the operation I couldn't lift my foot or my toes. The first time I saw any flicker of life was the 31st of December.
️ “There was a chance I might not have come back at all. I didn't know if I could walk normally again, never mind play football. But thankfully the hard work's paid off. It's not age-related, it's just one chance in however many thousand. It was just a bit of bad luck after starting the season well and feeling good... I've definitely got another year left in me.”Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He was 37 when he made his last PL appearance for West Brom, but they got relegated and he played a couple of seasons in the Championship or he might have extended that record a bit.Originally posted by Scratch View PostDid G Barry play up until near 40, or was he just never injured? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Mostly makes sense, but some of those players really stand out in the sense of 'Why am I here?'. I suppose keepers have longer careers, but Emile? Nothing against the guy really, but really?Originally posted by Charly View PostHe is like the ****ing terminator. He just keeps coming.
