I'm going to miss Dirky - had his faults but he played for LFC with all he had and you can't say that about all of them.
Thanks Dirk

From The Telegraph comments section
The measure of the man, Kuyt, is a fact that he has given a % of his transfer fees to his home town boys club and it is apparently a clause that is written into his transfer contract terms.
If you had one person you could choose to be with you in the trenches you would be hard pressed to find a better warrior than Kuyt.
Not blessed with silky skills but bucket loads of effort, work rate, adaptability and an uncanny knack of making it count in really big games.
Thanks Dirk, come and see us soon, we'd like to give you a proper farewell.
Top, top, servant of the club and an ace bloke.

Thats the thing that I will miss from Dirk, in a sport where a large percentage of it's top earners swan around as if they are untouchable, Dirk came across as a real human being and a fine professional. As a role model I hope he leaves a lasting legacy at the club as I fear the likes of him are rare.
Good luck Dirk - you will always be welcome back at Anfield.Modifying post.

A great servant to the club and played his part in our recent success. Will go down as a very important and loyal player for liverpool.
The greatest thing you can say about dirk that you cant say about a lot of players is that every time he put on the red shirt he always gave everything. We will miss him[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
