Not really. A loss of €2m, that's really not that calamitous in the grand scheme of things. Teams, even the very best ones with the very best transfer policies, sign players all the time who don't work out. Calamitous is losing £20m on Andy Carroll, not this one.Originally posted by Bender View Postwhat a calamitous transfer **** up
Small point but €9m, not £9m. Again it isn't really that much of a horror all told, pretty rare to get a great 25yr old striker for that sort of money these days. Poor sure, but I'd save "horror" for those who really deserve itOriginally posted by danperkins View Post7 million for Aspas idiots

Horror transfer for LFC for 9 million quid.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

I can never forgive him for that. It was a pretty useless signing & if we can get 7 million quid for him happy days.

Actually it would probably be a transfer success compared to some of our recent transfersOriginally posted by MrMichael View PostNot really. Seriously though, the transfer itself wasn't really a horror, just a failure, that ****ing corner though certainly was
