I was actually wondering something similar. If VVD is our number one target and we can't get him this year or at least window but he stays at Southampton, would we move for someone else who we could get now or would we see if Sakho could fill in for 6 months or a year and work on getting VVD then?

IMO the second option would make sense if the relationship between Klopp and Sakho can be repaired...
