        Maybe there's an element of pragmatism, might we worth building (temporary) bridges with Sakho if VVD isn't available this summer.

        Next transfer window or next summer we make a legit move for the big Dutchman and say cheerio to Sakho.

                I also think we'll end up with Ox instead of Keita. I can't see up paying anything near 70m if we can get him for 48m the following year.

                          I think it comes down to what happens with VVD, if VVD doesn't leave Southampton he's still on our radar and it could make sense to keep Sakho for a year and bring in VVD next year.

                          Keita deal I imagine comes down to price, if it's true that he has a clause letting him leave of £48m next summer, then the club might be reluctant to pay £70m+ for him now, regardless of how much we spend elsewhere

                              One more season like this one and he will will be out of our league, he is that good. Better than Del Al.
