IMO, he will, just needs the playing time and get his confidence back... just remember he is only 23 and for a WC level defender, they usually mature around the 28 yr old mark, he can only improve and i have no doubt he has the physical and mental (it can only go up with age, along with toure in the squad helping him with his game) attributes to improve... good buy in my opinion

He looks all legs and arms at time, like a baby giraffe. But he has great composure with the ball and uses it very well the majority of the time.

Love the way he heads the ball too, uses his whole body and just powers into it. Everything he does is very deliberate. Watches the ball onto his foot and puts his head over the ball as he kicks. Everything you get taught as a kid he still does, no nonchalant half assed stuff you see from a lot of pros.
