I appreciate that you’re a massive Firmino fan. Really don’t mean to push your buttons. Don’t think we’ll ever agree on this one
      Another MASSIVE game

Based upon his form Id be loathed to shift him back to an advanced midfield role, as you have to factor in the space and service he creates for Salah and Mane.

This could be the season we come to see him as a proper striker if he carries on his strike rate.

If I had to choose then Id rather we get a proper attacking midfider who can dribble and pass and worry about the strikers in the summer

I'd rather see some creativity from midfield than to bring in another striker to replace Bob.

No one seems to be mentioning this, but Firminho is the perfect centre forward for Klopp's approach and tactics. The traditional role of centre forward does not apply in this team, so to yearn for one is to miss the point somewhat.

            This helps to explain:

            - The reason for not recruiting a new CF this window
            - The reason for letting Sturridge go (even when fit, he barely started a game in the past three years - he just doesn't fit Klopp's system nor way of playing
            Oh I don't know.

Yeah, Sturridge for all his ability couldn't seem to find his place in Klopps attacking formation.

This makes us very reliant on Bobby F though, we need someone who can do a similar job. We also need to get Firmino tied down on an 10 year contract.

One would argue that we dont have a lime for like replacement for Firmino either.

But its the first 11 that should come first, and the midfield lacks real attacking quality.

We've not seen enough of Ings nor Solanke to understand how effective they will be in place of Firminho, but...

Scoring goals is not Klopp's primary requirement in a CF. He seems to prize link up play and pressing over this. Proper grafting.

Klopp sees these guys in training every day and seems to rate them highly enough for now at least. I'm guessing that he thinks their skillset is compatible with his requirements.
                  Oh I don't know.

I agree with Rigadon in that a more obvious striker could help at times and that our 3 front men could be deployed behind with a two man midfield instead of three.

However. We probably play the most advanced of any team anyway and so I'm not sure that a striker would have any space to operate in so jury is out

Firmino has been absolutely brilliant this season but to have another quality out and out striker in the ranks would be fantastic for us. The fact that Firmino is so versatile and could be that creative spark in midfield that we are missing, would be a damn nice option to have if we needed to change things up. It's all about quality options.

Firmino does not need to be swapped from where he plays as the front three pretty much dovetail each other .

The problem is when one of them is not playing , the quality drops massively with Ings or Solanke coming in.

Which is why i wanted someone like Mahrez so one of the three could always be getting a break with our system .

Yeah all about having quality options to step in.
