I think that the big thing that has perhaps taken a while to appreciate for our fans and is still why he isn't really appreciated by non-LFC fans is that he is viewed as a striker, and as such people think that he should be averaging more than a goal every other game. I'm not sure what his goalscoring record is I would guess about 1 in 3, but his game is more rounded than that, he is a very selfless player who is perfectly happy to be the one setting up Salah and Mane for their goals and letting them get the headlines, I suspect that Mane and Salah would have alot fewer goals if Bobby weren't in the side, but people tend to look at things such as goalscoring in isolation and as such he's criminally underrated.

Yep, that pass to Trent into the area had me screaming, jumping and then having a long ooooohhhh moment. I thought he delayed that pass, where Trent went on to shoot and it somehow was saved under the keeper's body. But he did well to not release it immediately as the left sided defender was keeping an eye on that pass. Only when Bobby fully committed him did he lay it on a plate.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostSo unique what he does.
And without the tricks it's very subtle hence the under appreciation in the wider world. That ability to find space with players approaching. The sublime skill, strength and awareness to move in the right directions at the right times, with players on him, and then the vision and the ability to create.
Someone said what would we do if he left - we'd have to change our attacking strategy, bring in a traditional centre forward. You'd have to teach someone else to do what he does and I don't think that's possible. Not least because of his unselfishness.
Perfect.One tit for another.

Series of tweets about how Bobby is being noticed in Brazil: twitter.com/LFC_360/status/1173188535383248896
Juninho: "(Roberto) Firmino is a new generation of number 9. Children in Brazil will look upto his style and his effort and believe that they too can be successful in the Premier League." #LFC
Juninho: "Firmino will change the way young strikers think about football, like how Rivaldo revolutionized the wing forward role which Neymar tries to emulate, even the simulation. Firmino however is made of an iron shell." #LFC
Juninho: "For too long Brazilian forwards were seen as tactically whimsical by managers. Firmino is changing that trend and opening eyes. Without a doubt one of the most intelligent movers of the ball today." #LFC
Marcelinho: "#LFC is Firmino's dream come true.
Not only does he have a manager whose philosophy he embodies, a team that loves him, but also I've never heard a Brazilian's name sang so often and so much love outside -- not Senna not Jorge Ben."
Marcelinho: "I don't want to upset players by saying this, but the truth is truth, and the numbers speak -- I will declare #Firmino is the remedy to Brazil's 'me-first, me-first' football. He should be our number 1 choice to build a team around. A player who makes others better."
Juninho: "I agree. The Brazil captaincy should be in #Firmino future... He'd have an armband at #LFC if there weren't already so many leaders in their team. This is why everyone hates playing them, they are a team full of captains. Van Dijk, Salah, Mane, Henderson, all of iron."
