Is it that he wants to leave, or that he wasn’t going to accept the (1 year?) contract that we were offering?
I’d have liked to keep him another year, but couldn’t justify giving him a 3 year deal or that- he’s prob sixth choice attacker, or at least woukd be the one you’d move out of the squad to make space for a new one, given his age etc. he’s gonna be missed though, for sure! Just watched Bobby’s goal, 4 mins from every different angle. I’m convinced he scored and celebrated with a king foo kick at the same time

There was certainly something going on that was unrelated to the need to put the ball in the net. Things like that are what made him such a favourite.Comment

The similarity between those goals is mental. Very different players though. If Firmino were half as clinical as Fowler he’d have scored many more goals. Still love him but it has to be said, an “eye for goal” was never his biggest asset or contribution for us.It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.Comment
