Yeah and Firmino plays further forward in the Neymar role almost so he might not suit whatever style Brazil plays these days.

That said, if he keeps up his top form he'll be up for a place in that team as it is hardly overflowing with talent.

The more he's overlooked, the better for us. Judging by how few South Americans started in the PL this week, chances are he would have been on the bench with Coutinho had he travelled.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Indeed. I wish all our players sacked off international football.

'It beggars belief' doesn't refer to the things that beggars believe, although it does relate to begging in a roundabout way. The verb 'to beggar' was coined in the 16th century to mean 'make impoverished; exhaust the means of'. It is found in print in William Roy's religious satire Rede me and be nott wrothe, 1528:
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Cost us £29m, in today's climate, that's pretty reasonable!

Coutinho is the better player anyways, he just has issues with consistency.

Isn't that the Brazilian way to go for the spectacular over the consistent?

When he knocked in the forth goal it seemed to take forever, even on replay I expect the defender to stop him.

We were 3 games into the season. Coutinho was the star man against Arsenal, Firmino quiet. Both **** against Burnley, although Coutinho was voted 2nd best player. Firmino was probably better against Spurs, but hardly enough to propel him ahead of Coutinho for the Brazil manager to pick him ahead of their best player at the Copa America.

Honestly, what do you mean when you say it beggars belief?
Sorry, only seeing this reply but thanks to Vermillion, I think that clears it up for ya, don't ya think?

I'll reiterate then, what defies or go beyond what is believable for Firmino not getting picked on the strength of those 3 games? Please explain.

I'd argue that Firmino is currently our best player.

I think we will start with him up front against Chelsea mind, it seems to be a Klopp way against the bigger teams.
