    Bobby.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

So calling someone a "son of a bitch " should be a ban according to the blue****e.

None of us have a clue but the Blues have gone big on this - surprise surprise. Surely if he said anything like that the ref, who's stood right in front of him, and the other Everton players would have heard it. It *seems* ridiculous. Bitter cunt. **** off.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Of course they have. They will be going for the "banned Liverpool player trophy".

Yeah ref is right there and would surely send him off if he's made a racist remark

I did wonder if this is why Holgate wasn't carded. The video knocking about seems to shoe him telling the ref that something was said. It would look very bad if he got sent off(for pushing and grabbing the ref) and he was reacting to something like that. Think it contributed to the ref bottling the decision.

When and what is he supposed to have said and in what language, it's clear that he's saying something in Portuguese(?) which seems to be son of a bitch.

The ref is between the two of them so surely hears whatever is said and if it was in English (or any other language the referee understands) he would know what was said and would have reacted appropriately. The only question would be does he say something that the referee doesn't understand, but I would imagine if that was the case Holgate probably wouldn't understand it to be able to take offence.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Apparently according to grandoldteam the ref left it for the FA to sort out.

Ref was right there and he bottled it. The only thing the ref saw for sure was Holegate raising his hands and shoving Firmino into the crowd.

That in itself is a cardable offence and the ref should have acted.

Holgate should have been at least yellow carded for the push and sent off for putting hands on ref. Bizarre it was.

Presumably the narrative would be that he said something earlier that incited the push.

I think both players will get retrospective bans. Bobby should not have reacted like this as well.

The ref can only react to things that he has seen or heard, Holgate should have (at least) been booked for the initial push. If the ref doesn't see or hear what Firmino has allegedly said he can't take action against him, but the claim of something being said shouldn't stop him taking action for the initial foul.
