That is the issue at the moment. He's got to do more for us but he is getting us goals and important ones at that

as long as he keeps scoring the winner they'll keep talking to him. If that miss was to win us the game would they be so jovial?

Yeah, you wouldn't be putting your mortgage on him 1 v 1 with us needing the goal to win. He needs more confidence, but you have to wonder if his lack off it is down to a suspect all round ability?

Give him zero seconds to think and he'll bang it in the net though....

            Strange.

I agree about the movement. He always makes the run from the centre to the outside or drops back to the penalty spot in a crowded area rather than running across a defender or to the back post.

Sturridge/Origi mix it up far more and find some great positions running into the central space from out wide.

Even if he does move more, it doesn't appear effective but I'm willing to give him more time to change this.

To kick on, the team needs another forward of sturridges quality who can stay fit. But those are so hard to find.

I also don't think the attacking play of those behind Benteke would have been able to yield better results without him on the pitch. It's not as if you take him out of the side and the style dramatically changes to slick fast interplay with lots of goals. In fact I'd doubt there would be any goals, maybe a long range strike from Coutinho.

It's a step up from Villa and the guy is still finding his feet. I'm pretty sure he'll be given another season to prove himself as Klopp rates him and will be prepared to patient with him.

Attacking wise, we just need Sturridge on the pitch as much as we can.
                Are we winning?

Seeing that Suarez was gone for £70m and Torres for £50m, that's not far off in terms of evaluation I think.

Benteke's real value would be around £20-25m, but we were prepared to pay his release clause fee.

His goals are responsible for 3 of our 8 PL wins this season
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He may prove crucial to us this season, because that's the sort of season we're having. However, I'll be surprised (and disappointed) if he's still here next season.

I would also be surprised if he's here next season but I wouldn't be disappointed, as long a he had two far superior lads regularly fit ahead of him.

To be fair to him, he has 5 months to make himself essential to the team. I hope he does cos it saves a lot of **** and expense replacing him.

Benteke is class .. is he the main man ... who knows ... but he gets into most teams in England ... he is the least of our worries, as has been pointed out .. he is instinctive ... feed him the ball enough times and he will score .. I am happy with that

It's his lack of match killing goals that might have cost us though.
