Getting Klopp was a footballing dream of mine, and I never expected it to come true. I thought that once he went on his sabbatical, he was going to wait until next summer, when he'd have the pick of the elite jobs going, despite his agent dropping his kecks about his willingness to take a job from a team outside the top 4 (could only have meant us), and all the other releases about taking a job in the Premier League.
I'd lost faith in the club, from the players to Rodgers to the owners. I'd written us off as a soulless corporate shell of a club with no ambition from anyone. And when Graeme Kelly and Jay Riley's tweets came true, my faith was restored.
Never have I felt a manager more suited for us from a distance than Klopp. It was galling to think we'd never have him in charge, because we weren't seen as an elite club on the pitch, or we didn't want a strong personality. He oozes charisma and humility. I just smile and get all giddy when I see him.
I know this is ultimately irrational and illogical, but I can't help it. He was my dream football manager, and now he's actually managing the club I love.
Amazing how he has turned players form around so quickly Coutinho and Firmino were ripping City to shreds.
Lallana and Milner just closing them down and springing forward , it reminded of the Great Arsenal team that used to walk around teams and square it for tap ins, so simple but hard to do.
