Has Tony been given short shrift by the club or Klopp recently then? That reads as a badly written and thought out rant.

    Oh well

Anyone remember the club giving Houlier a new contract after having one good season and, we all know what happened there don't we but, I really do believe Klopp will take us as a club that next step and regain our number one status where we belong after such a long, long time

Strong sentiments by Evans but one that I would agree with. A lot of people are infatuated with Klopp. He's a great character and very positive, but the way the club has been managed over the last 7 years have not returned great results on the football pitch and Klopp hasn't shown enough yet to warrant a 6 year contract. Weird.
        Are we winning?

Saw that Evans article earlier and read the first lines before I binned it, I mean FFS. I definately wasn't calling for a new contract, but I take this like it is, ****ing great news that Klopp is nailing his colours to the mast, players will know when they sign that this manager will be here for the long term, nothing but good news, Evans can take his demoralising, destructive **** elsewhere, I've no idea why on earth he felt the need to write that.

He makes some valid arguments but the whole tone of the article as usual does him no favors. Even Klopp was surprised he got a new deal, he expects to have to prove himself before that happens. As I read elsewhere, he's been given the keys to sort everything in the football end out, maybe because the owners don't know how to themselves.

Is it all too much for one man, let's hope not.

I understood the general consensus was that Klopp's renewed contract was more about longevity than a pay increase, yet Evans' article refers to money twice. And if FSG had such little faith in Ayre, I very much doubt he would have lasted this long as they have been shown to be quite ruthless in their decision making.

The remark about Everton is laughable and talking of their infrastructure when their stadium is rotting from within is equally amusing too. Evans has a real bee in his bonnet when it comes to FSG and it's making him come across extremely bitter.

He already has a team, his co-workers Peter and Zelkjo, this can't be bad news for us, just can't.

It's because they are not the Chinese government's investment arm

He's upset that the latest interest from the Chinese was rebuffed, he's desperate to be able to say...'Look, i was right, the Chinese are buying LFC'.

Tony Evans talking about wild mood swings.

I didn't say it was bad news but you have to be mindful of some things too. His current setup is in charge of coaching the squad. They way some journos are talking is that Klopp is in charge of everything football related now. "his own director of football" as Barrett put it. That's a lot of stuff for one man to take on. He's never had that before either. hopefully he gets the right people in the right places to support him properly. He's a top class manager and that's why we hired him but he's never been in charge of his own recruitment for example, he had Zorc for that. If that's what we ask of him I hope it doesn't take his energy and focus away from what he's really here for, winning.

FSG don't have a great record on the pitch. Four managers and one trophy won and numerous players have come on and gone out of bad decision making. He has a point, but the tone of his article is a tad harsh.

The only point is that past performance is questionable therfore this one is questionable. Hardly insightful.
