2) you said ohhh but Klopp has a job that he loves, which I assume implies that because he supposedly loves his job, he doesn’t need a break?? (talking ****e)
Then you also made the argument that you would work without breaks for his salary, which I assume means he should also do it as he’s well compensated?? (talking ****e)
3) RedReet pulled you on this
4) you backtracked saying your argument is about his ability to retire as he is a millionaire (talking ****e)I don't tip

Some have pointed out Matt McCann's (press officer) reaction. He wasn't surprised whatsoever, and I doubt Klopp would've put forward the U23's and Critchley without having discussed it with him weeks before.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostWe don't get much wrong these days but I feel like Klopp has made this decision in haste. He obviously wasn't planning to draw and get a replay and he just said what seemed instinctively right at the time as a general blanket over the whole situation.
I do feel annoyed that some of our fans are questioning Klopp on his decision. We're literally on the brink of winning the title after 30 years. I couldn't give two ****s about the FA Cup right now. Maybe in the future, when our depth is stronger, and we're looking to compete on more fronts, but seriously, for this season, who cares?

Nothing should be allowed to put at risk winning the EPL. If he takes an "it's in the bag" decision now, the squad might ease off. No brainer.
Oh, and it is stupid to say you can have a winter break and then put replays in it. I know the clubs knew that is what would be done at the beginning of the season, but it doesn't make it any less stupid.
People talk about the magic of the cup, but it is stupid decisions by the FA and the Football League that are diminishing the magic as much as the clubs.Last edited by Paul12; 28-01-20, 09:24 PM.

You think?Originally posted by nineteen View PostIf a british manager took the same position as Klopp everyone would be nodding along in agreement, but because it's a foreigner sullying the FA cup he and the club are being cast as a disgrace.

OK, you wrote it so you do in all probability think that.
But anyway, I think most people get Klopp's stance.Oh I don't know.

Anyway, this is why he won't be managing the team, not because he needs to put his feet up.Originally posted by Chris View PostHe doesn't believe himself taking over the u23s is the best chance though. This is why he's so great really, always willing to work with others or let people he thinks are better placed to do stuff do it.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

TBH whilst I see where he's coming from and bear no ill will for his stance, if he wanted to be taken seriously and make a stance he should have just given the team the game off and managed himself.
Then it can only be about the team and not about him. The media couldn't twist it.
I think he messed this one up.

Who doesn’t take him seriously?
I think it makes sense for the under 23s manager to be managing the under 23s! He works with them every week, knows their strengths better than Klopp would, etc..I don't tip

Edit. Also it needs to be made clear this is going to be the kids and NC coaches them and Klopp doesn't. So the obvious choice to manage them is NC - that's the boss' words.
He's clearly just taking a stand against the FA (rightly or wrongly and IMO rightly) for having a proper break.
As he said, if they (we) keep finding solutions, they'll just keep adding more and more games.
Throw in euros, League of nations, AFCONs players are getting hosed. FA cup is a definite casualty but we're definitely not the only club treating it as a lesser entity, and that's not for us to sort out.Last edited by labourRed; 29-01-20, 12:56 AM.
