Didn’t even think about it especially when they put the scores up during the game that city had scored early. We’ve all been there and knew exactly what was going to happen no matter how much anyone tried to talk up any last day excitement.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostHaving all that fanfare definitely distracted from the fact our season fell away.
I was so focused on our full time celebrations, it was 20mins before I even thought about who had won the League.

Great interview that, always found his tactical analysis fascinating to listen to. I’m sure he will become a top head coach and good luck to him.Originally posted by Kenneth View Post

It seems that, if you want to be a professional footballer, you need to be OK with getting hugs from sweaty men. That's why I became an actuary.

I remember reading this post at the time and dreading it, Shaggy. We knew from the beginning we'd have to go through it, too, one day. The reality is just as sad as we all feared.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostJust watched this ffs. Imagine when it's our turn.
Tears for Klopp - Emotional Send-Off from the Dortmund Fans - YouTube
Sorry to add silly personal stuff, but he arrived at Liverpool just after I moved to Seattle. Now we're heading back to Ireland in July with a 7 year old kiddo (who's growing up way too fast) just as Jurgen leaves and the timing of it all feels heavy. The end of an era of life. All the football bound up in the other stuff that was happening at the same time. The end of the best part of a decade of 4:30am alarms on the weekend to catch the match. Blocking off the work calendar at lunch to watch the European games. Even through the most gutting losses I can remember it was all just different because of who he was and what he was building. It's bizarre how much personal identity we attach to this thing and to him. Anyway, I'm just so very sad that we're already here. It feels way too soon.

Nothing silly about the personal stuff mate. And regarding the gutting losses, I know exactly what you mean as I always thought to myself it’s ok there’ll be other opportunities, and there was. And I’m hoping there will be again in the not too distant future.Originally posted by hoeyd2 View PostI remember reading this post at the time and dreading it, Shaggy. Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Cheers, SB! Here's to that hope, even if I can't quite get arsed about next season and transfers and improvements and all the usual stuff just yet!Originally posted by SB View PostNothing silly about the personal stuff mate.
