I reckon privately he hates the idea of living in America. Their culture is alien to him, his messages wouldn't resonate at all.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIt was a bold approach

If he wants a break from football, the England job sounds a good fit ...although managing the Bitters would be an even better break from it.Originally posted by Mark79 View Post

Short of a complete and utter collapse (relegation form for months on end) Slot will get at least a season and most likely two seasons to show what he can do.
I expect the club and most fans would have the same mindset with regards to the timescale needed to judge him.
As for what the media and dopes like Neville or Carragher think? Who cares.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

"Let's see what it will look like in a few months. Nothing is coming through at the moment," he said.
"As of today, that's it for me as a coach. I didn't quit on a whim, it was a general decision.
"I've also coached the best clubs in the world. Maybe we can talk about it again in a few months.
"I still want to work in football and help people with my experience and contacts. Let's see what else there is for me."
