We have been good in the league, winning when not playing well. But the League Cup (I know) and the CL havnt been amazing either. But the fact is that we have won only 3 games in our last 9.

Dont know how to properly articulate without sounding like a moany cunt or a bit of an ungrateful arse. But were at the top table now, our current form is likely not going to be good enough to beat City. We need to be better. We fought hard to get here, we need to maintain now.
But we won't be better. It's just never going to happen. They're far too good and people need to accept that and realise in this instance 2nd would be a major success in terms of the league.

I totally know what you mean tbf. It’s frustratinv that being this good may not be good enough.

It is what it is though, and I am really enjoying supporting the club and the team win lose or draw right now.

2nd would be fantastic this year, considering City's first team, depth of squad, quality of manager and pockets like the mariana trench. Unless City have an enormous improbable implosion we have to measure ourselves against the rest really.

2nd? I dont want 2nd. Fed up with thinking its good enough now. The only major success in terms of the league I think we can accept is winning the thing. Im not saying we need to rip up the book and start again if we dont win. But I cant accept it as much less than a waste.

City are beatable. They are just rocking at the moment. Financial doping helps a lot I guess.

As good as City are, ourselves, Wolves and Bristol City have shown they can be got at if you go at them. We've still got a massive amount of improvement in us, our forwards will click eventually and 3 new signings in Shaq, Fabinho and Keita will add so much more once they get settled.

Worst case scenario we are 2 points behind them after this weekend (we're not dropping points against Fulham) , but not totally impossible to be level if United can frustrate them.

League far from over and no point in being a supporter is writing off our chances at this stage.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Its not over at all. We are keeping pace fine. Which is promising if anything, because what weve been seeing so far is below our level. Klopp and the players seem to recognise that too.

                A waste of what?

Liverpool could break 90 points and still not win the league. Not sure how anyone could think of such a performance as unacceptable though.

Win on Sunday and it's our best ever start after 12 games.

                  Think about that.
                  Oh I don't know.

Not having 2nd as “major success”. If we can’t overcome a team who are probably cheating in more ways than is in the public domain then fair enough but the rest are nothing special so certainly don’t consider finishing above them as a major success.

They got 100 points last season. They look like they're going to do it again. It's unprecedented. How they got there (clearly dodgy) is irrelevant. It's an impossible bar.

If we were hypothetically to get 90+ points this season I'd say that's a "major success" personally.

                        Feel free to think differently.

It would be a good haul and unfortunate if it won nothing but there's so much dog **** in this league now a massive points haul should be kind of expected. Won't be celebrating 2nd and 90 points over the summer if it happens but feel free to think differently.

                            Regards.

Totally agree here. We got to be winning it to be anything other than just another season.

True but don't think there's much chance of winning it while City exist in this guise. I don't think anyone is going to be eccstatic finishing 2nd but it will be an achievement
