I just think too many games took it's toll on a lot of the players. It was a long season and that will have taken its toll, perhaps more mentally that physically. There's a reason the quad is a never-been-done before event, I guess.

      You bite your tongue.......

I get what you are saying. And I think that there might be something in what others have said about his style of play having the players dead on their feet come May as well. There is a validity to that argument. Watching the game the other night, that was my feeling - that basically these players are ****ed.

I think next season will be really interesting to see how he handles it with the fact that we will have 5 subs in league matches and also with the 6 week break for the world cup. Hopefully a lot of our players are not involved in the world cup and LFC can organise themselves really well for the 2nd half of the season next year.

I see what others are saying but for the two topics:

        - Klopp’s final record

We got to three finals this year and in all cases we were vs conservative vs the high risk game we normally play. I don’t know if this is instructions or the players bring extra cautious. I genuinely thought we’d go full power vs Madrid and run them off the pitch and flood their box. We played carefully in front of them - until he took Thiago and Hendo off we didn’t stretch them and make them defend last ditch. I wish we played the way we did en route to getting there - balls to the wall and go full throttle

Tired players - physically no, the minutes of the players have never been managed better. All players are around their ideal minutes level and we have a deep squad. If anything it might have been mentally draining - a huge game every 3 days…..all or nothing. As I said above we kind of went into our shell - I think the players were feeling the pressure a bit

We played well enough to have won the game. We just weren’t clinical enough.
          Are we winning?

simple as- the discussion about whether it was klopps fault ends here.

              CL = 9

FA Cup aside, hard to believe we did not score...

Klopp can't get on the end of chances. He looked absolutely knackered yesterday. Poor lad needs a rest.

Their keeper played a blinder too tbf. The saves against Mane (onto the post) and Mo at the end were phenomenal.

i think to question Jurgen would be ****in stupid. In reality we would have been lucky to even qualify for the champions league in the few years before Jurgen turned up. TO have 3 finals in 5 years is ****in immense.

And he will totally know how to keep this team competitive while also freshening it up.

I was sick of football yesterday.........but by the weekend, I will be missing it again and counting the days until the start of next season

I’ve no problem if people want to question him, but at least have a deeper analysis about what he supposedly is doing wrong rather than just saying he lost 4 out 5 European finals, over the past 10 or so years.. without going into all the finals, I don’t think he did anything wrong on Saturday- we were well on top, just couldn’t take our chances.

In terms of the squad maybe running out of steam, they have looked knackered but we’ve been the most in form team in the league over the last few months, and in general we seem to finish seasons much stronger than other teams- apart from 2020 when the title was wrapped up. No one would be talking about that if we’d won on Saturday, and we should have, if we’d just taken 1 of our chances.

                      totally agree with ya.

I was sure we would get a ****in equaliser and then go on to win it in extra time!!!

I think the 5 subs will be a game changer for us. Hopefully our young players will get more football and develop quicker and better.....whereas some of our others won't be flogged to death!!!

If Pickford was playing in goal for them, we'd be holding the CL cup for sure.
