I’m really glad you’re nowhere near having a say in that.

I saw something the other day about the changes he’s made now with the 5 subs and he has really taken advantage of it. I’d don’t know if it was on here so I hope I’m not repeating.

He always wanted a smaller squad but has gone bigger now as he has the chance to make those extra changes and rotate more. First it was 5 upfront and now we have more midfield options.

The main point was about the front 3. Rather than the main 3 with a couple squad players to cover he can have 5 quality options and make a couple changes during the game to give them all plenty of game time and keep them fresh and happy as they are playing plenty. No ones missing out. It’s also working with the midfield.

This season you can see how much it's working. More goal involvements from our subs than any other team by 10. I think it was 30 we are on.

Considering our injury record and intensity in play, anything smaller would (and has) tempted fate.

It feels like we have a solid squad with 2 players in every position, plus a batch of decent youngsters. Its what I would expect from a well managed squad. Anything more would be bloat, less would leave us short.

I guess the squad is not much bigger but has no deadweight in ability or permacrocks (apart from Thiago... and his contract is up).

The entire club underperformed last season and I think Klopp and his team were up there with the most underperforming individuals. This season through his in game tactics and substitutions, Klopp has actually won us points. I hate to say it but I was doubting him and whether he lost some of the desire but now I hope he extends his contract again

Yeak, i theink the hangover from previous season affeccted Klopp & his team, as much as the players who made it on to the pitch.

This would be considered the V1 ‘classic’ Klopp Liverpool team.

                        Allison

                        Trent
                        Matip
                        Van Dijk
                        Robertson

                        Fabinho
                        Henderson
                        Wijnaldum

                        Salah
                        Firmino
                        Mane

Interesting fact: Klopp was able to start this team for only one game!!!!

Any one care to guess which game it was?

Apparently it is true, and yep, that was the only game they all started together.
