I think until next season he is completely untouchable. By that I mean he can't really be criticised this season. He's got a squad of players and he's giving them all opportunities. It's down to them to perform & I think right now is about marking their cards. He needs to know who he can rely on & it's better he found out immediately than waited.

I know prior to coming in he said this squad was better than what was being suggested. I do wonder if he's starting to have a rethink. The mental strength displayed by most is worryingly low.
The majority of Dortmund fans would have him back in a heartbeat .. Bayern are said to be waiting for him ... if "our" fans ever turn of this guy I think that would be a bridge too far for me and football

I keep hearing from a couple of fans that it's not the solution and Rodgers should've gotten more time, unbelievable really that Rodgers managed to fool so many. The state of the team today is totally up to him and he was never going to rebuild the team properly, just chuck 20-30 million towards the next average player who has a good season.

Thats only really half the story. There is a bunch of people responsible for shaping the squad.

His failing was not wanting to work with the players he didnt want in the squad.

Klopp hopefully will work with the system thats in place, as its something he has come into. Rather than had thrust upon him at the start after he had signed as manager like Rodgers did.

I'm ok with Rodgers and what he done. I think he was the right guy at the time .. he did ok and we had some fun, but we have a Manager who not only would walk into any club in the world right now, half of them would sack managers to accommodate him, on top of that he is a top top bloke ... passionate ..loves the game and hes ****ing ours ... He is not a miracle worker .. this will be and up and down season... he has my complete faith & support, the team on the other hand I am not so sure about

That's over simplistic. It was 100% the right thing to do to change manager once Klopp was available and interested however the style of football has now changed under Klopp, we might have actually in the short term been in a similar position as we are now maybe a little better off under Rodgers but long term it wasn't going to work. Klopp doesn't appear to have the right type of players for how he wants to play he's going to need this season to work out what he has that he can work with and I fancy the rest that aren't up to it will see a much harder side to him, big Chris is already realising he's not just a happy go lucky guy managing him

Klopp is renowned for slapping people. Well he could do with lining up every single one of them players this morning and giving them a good punch in the face.

I think its more than just that

The problem as I see it is two fold

                  1) As you say Rodgers wasnt willing to work with the players signed by the committee

                  2) When Rodgers got his way and we signed his No.1 targets those players generally turned out to be ****ing ****e

The second point is more of the problem. I really would like to see how Klopp does with getting his players in. Clearly he had a good eye at Dortmund. But they had a similar DOF model didn't they? So it could have been due to a good scouting network.

Players like Kagawa, Lewandowski, Gundogan, Hummels and Rues shows he had a good eye. Or even was willing to work with whats given to him.

In all honesty i think Klopp needs 2 proper transfer windows to have the squad he wants,as for the team we have now no more than 4/6 players imo would be kept on and those only as squad players with the exception of maybe Henderson as a first teamer...entire squad needs binning and Klopp needs and will start from scratch.

The three sides that have flourished most this season play two up top (Leicester, Watford, Palace), so that suggests that tippy tappy one or indeed none up is now struggling. Which means I have an excuse to demand a return to the 4-4-2 diamond, what's now needed of course is a pair of hard-working mobile strikers and at best we have one and a bit.

Not sure I would go to that extreme. It's going to take more than two windows to rebuild completely but I think he can make a lot of progress in that time. In an ideal world, by the start of next season the current squad should shake out something like this...

                              Starter:
                              • Clyne
                              • Coutinho
                              • Henderson
                              • Sakho
                              • Moreno
                              • Can

                              Squaddie:
                              • Milner

I think the club will give him enough money to make several additions in January if he knows who he wants and thinks he can get them. They can see that this is a **** league and top 4 is still not gone despite how **** we've been lately. With some good additions in key areas we can go on a charge.
