None of the above players were really actively moved on were they, Kuyt and Bellamy left the Summer he came in, Suarez wanted to move for over a year and got his wish, Carra retired, Agger couldn't handle the PL anymore and Gerrard was a shadow of his former self and many wanted gone.

Plenty to lay at the feet of Rodgers but claptrap like he moved on strong players due to being scared of their influence is laughable - not aimed at you exiled

As I (and you) say I don't think he chose to move most of them on their time had just come in most cases, and I don't believe that he any he did move on were because he was concerned about their influence.

But IMO he should have realised the effect that moving on so many influencial players would have on the side and replaced them adequately. This side seriously lacks leadership and that is due to Rodgers. With all due respect to Jordan Henderson I feel that if any of those players were still here they would probably be captaining the side.

I agree about the lack of leadership in the squad, that's a massive concern at present and can only really be fixed with signings imo

I'd say currently we probably have Henderson and maybe Sakho as those type of players in the squad at present, maybe Can in the future but that's about it

We've been told the committee wanted Sakho, Rodgers wanted Williams but was told no so had to settle on Sakho, then he bought Lovren, Lambert and Lallana while the committee bought Lazar and Moreno etc. Last summer he was told he could have Benteke as long as he accepted Firmino.

What sort of a way is that to run a club? It'd like the dual manager scenario all over again. All players should be bought with a single vision in mind and the manager needs to be on board with that vision. Hopefully now everybody is pulling in the same direction but it's still going to take time and money to get the players they all agree on to take us towards whatever vision it is they've settled on.

It's a huge sum for a keeper but the way the transfer fees have been moving its probably around his market value

I'm kind of split on this, it does seem alot of money for a keeper but when you consider that we are willing to take a £7m punt on young defenders such as Ilori who had almost no first team experience or spend £20m on someone like Markovic it seems odd if we aren't prepared to spend money on a highly rated, CL winning young GK who would almost certainly walk straight into the side.

Its Jurgen ****ing Klopp if he can't turn this club around we may as well pack it ****ing up now lads.

This season for me was to get him settled in, have a look at the players and make a decision on fair few of their futures. Its a little frustrating because 4th is up for grabs but we're not good enough, simple as that.

Next season I want to see him laying some foundations and start to see some of his methods on a more regular basis.

Season after he'll be judged but still I'd give him time.

I think FSG will seek to get maximum return with the current squad before contemplating spending that much money on any players. I hope I'm wrong but we've been wasting a lot for the past two years.

For me the best approach to avoid wasting money is to focus spending on a few players / positions that will make a difference.

The easiest way to waste money is to replace 10 squad players with 10 more squad players, we will get poor transfer fees for the players we are selling and will pay over the odds for someone who is barely if any improvement on what we have, while waiting 1-2 years for them to settle / come good and repeating the process in 3-4 years time after us all moan how **** they are. Spend big on a player who is going to be the main stay of your team for the next 7-10 years that is much better value for money.

I said when he came in that this season was a free pass for him, and I would write the season off, anything we get is a bonus.

Its mad some people actually think that way, what is he supposed to do with this lot? He's learning right now, during the toughest part of our season and he's having to put up with a squad built by a fraud.

There isn't a single manager out there better suited to this job.

Thing is, every position we have could be improved on because we don't have a top class player within the squad. That is honestly my take on it, we have a couple who threaten to be but Sturridge can't stay fit and Coutinho has far too many dips in form and doesn't contribute on his off days.

The problem Klopp has is where to start.
