Club rivalry and country rivalry are two very different things, for 99% of fans from Ireland, Scotland or Wales ... even dare i say it Liverpool ... the Anti England vibe is banter ... nobody gives a **** ... the only people who do, are monobrowed double IQ digit gob****es .. but you get them everywhere

The only places you'll find real tension is ironically in Glasgow or Northern Ireland ... in the south nobody gives a flying monkeys

What you're touching on there is sadly a completely different matter to common regional rivalry. It's also a spectacularly blinkered and incorrect statement in relation to it as well.

In what way ? the original context was that Football has no rivalries, football managers dont care ... then someone brought up England and Ireland .. and I am saying there really is no rivalry as such between England and the Rep of Ireland ... the only place you find that mainstream is in Glasgow and Belfast ... so what part of that is incorrect ?

Apologies, I've completely got the wrong end of the stick.

I think because of the particular regions mentioned I thought you were touching on certain wider issues beyond football.

I thought I'd go get you footage of England fans ripping the seats out of Landsowne road, but when I put "england football fans Dublin" into youtube search I got more than what I bargained for....
