I gave up with 40 seconds to go. Got to 22. My personal rule for Sporcle quizzes is that if I 'know' the answer I can google to correct the spelling.

I haven't looked at it but 45 sounds an incredible figure. I would have guessed low 20's at most.

45 didn't sound overly high to me. If you think about it 14 are used in most matches. It doesn't take much variation on that to get you to 20 and then all the players who might have played a league cup game in early rounds and it stacks up pretty quick
